Darn Dobermans Disable Dangling Footwear

In these warm weather days, I really enjoy wearing my flip-flops. The big problem with that is that any dog walking behind me invariably steps on the part of the flip-flop that is on the floor, causing me to stop in my tracks. It isn't until I yank my foot free, or wait until the dog takes it's paw off the flip-flop that I can resume walking normally.

Dismayed at Dog Decisions

I'm a little peeved with Joe Biden and Barack Obama for not choosing dogs from an animal shelter.
I live next door to a dog who was adopted from a shelter, and he is one of the best, kindest and most well-natured dogs I have ever met.

Don't buy dogs from pet stores or irresponsible breeders. Millions of shelter animals depend on you to make the right decision - adopt your next pet from an animal shelter.

There's a $10,000 reward for the safe return of Sadie, an 18-month old red Doberman missing from the Ridgefield area of Connecticut for nearly two weeks.

The Longman family last saw Sadie on March 12th when they were feeding all of their seven dogs.

Doberman makes an appearance in a wireless phone ad, after being summoned by the Wizard. I can't believe the guy in the pink shirt calls him a puppy.

Dogs Hang Ten

The weekend saw around 60 dogs compete in the Surf Dog competition at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Imperial Beach (San Diego) California. Here's a video clip.

Tiffany and Sebastian loved to swim in the water, we used to take them to the river all the time to swim. My current two Dobes are not that into it. I guess I just need to take them to the beach more and get them into the water.

Dogs Delivered from Dire Deep Water

The United Animal Nations volunteers have been helping to rescue and rehabilitate the animal flood victims of the Midwest. Kudos!
These animals are being plucked off of rooftops and out of attics. They're scared and separated from their owners. A big round of applause for the volunteers for all their hard work.

Doggy Dream Homes

Wow, check out these dream homes for dogs! I'm in the same boat as the commenters, though. My dogs just wouldn't sleep in their own little house, unless it was inside the main house and they thought of it as their crate.
