Downed D.C. Dog Update
OK, I'm finding out that it was not a Doberman that was shot by a cop at the dog park near 24th in D.C. It was a brown Boxer named Scooby. The distraught owner has three kids and I really feel for them. Losing a dog is hard enough, but losing one on Christmas Eve, that's just terrible.

As I'm sure you know, Dobies were "junkyard dogs" MANY years ago, but all of the ones I've seen in recent years have just been the mildest, sweetest dogs. Hopefully they can overcome this old stereotype.
