My dogs are great when it comes to landscaping help, especially hole-digging. All I need to do is scoop once with the shovel and then the dogs come over and help enlarge the hole. Here's a shot of Buffy helping.

Haha, that is great! Axle is also helpful in digging, many, many holes.
